HEIDI BURTON ILLUSTRATION
ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm Heidi Burton, a British-Finnish illustrator based in Cambridge, UK.
I studied BA (Hons) in Illustration at KIAD and an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art.
My most recent book projects - A Friend at Fable Hill and The Neurodivergent Diaries stem from my lived experience of autism and ADHD.
Interests
Found objects, overheard conversation snippets, bird-nerding, riding in trains in the rain, spying on wildlife, night sky gazing, Rilke’s musings, banjo twangers, hand drawn type, folktales, wilderness, Victorian literature, vintage children’s books, Haiku writing.
Disinterests
Mint chocolate, burglars, things that reduce in size whilst increasing in price, unpredictable flying matter (pigeons, I’m looking at you), eating meat, not having tea, my ineptitude at plant mothering.
